This outcrop just to the west of the Zuran hill was the sight of Napoleon's bivouac on the night before the battle. It was also the scene of the famous torchlight parade as the French soldiers spontaneously hailed their Emperor on the first anniversary of his coronation. The view is south-west across the Goldbach valley.
