Soult moves on Rodigen, the East of the Battlefield
The village of Rodigen marked the extreme north-east of the battlefield. General Saint-Hillaire, commanding the 1st Division of Ney's IV Corp attacked Lieutenant General von Holtzendorff's position here after moving uphill from Zwatzen. The village is seen from the direction of this approach, i.e. SSW.
